Commissioning a garden design
When first contacted by a client, Richard will arrange a meeting to discuss their plans and aspirations for their new garden, this enables him to gain an understanding of the scale of the project. A proposal is then prepared for the client, recommending which design service they require and outlining the costs involved.
If Richard is commissioned, he will then return and take a full design brief, enabling him to then prepare concept drawings and a mood board for client approval. Once approved, he provides a hand rendered scale plan along with construction costs for the finished project. Clients are not obliged in any way to use Slate Grey to construct their garden and we are happy to work with outside contractors if required.
Richard works with experienced garden designer Ali Diess, who also trained at the PSGD, London. Ali has a creative background and finishes the design concepts in watercolour, giving clients a unique artwork of their new garden.
